LEONA CLARA LORENZ KRAKOSKY
Leona Clara Lorenz Krakosky was born on December 22, 1925 in Greens Creek, Texas to Carl and Theresia Vogel Lorenz, and died on March 26, 2015 in Tomball, Texas, at the age of 89. She was baptized and confirmed at Bethany Lutheran Church in Greens Creek, Texas.

Leona Clara Lorenz Krakosky was born on December 22, 1925 in Greens Creek, Texas to Carl and Theresia Vogel Lorenz, and died on March 26, 2015 in Tomball, Texas, at the age of 89. She was baptized and confirmed at Bethany Lutheran Church in Greens Creek, Texas.
Leona met Milton Martin Krakosky in September 1946 at the wedding of Rudolf and Martha Lorenz. Their friendship grew and they soon began dating. Leona and Milton were married on June 25, 1950, by Pastor Paul C. Eifert at Bethany Lutheran Church in Greens Creek, Texas.
After her father's death, Leona moved to Houston when she was sixteen years old. She cleaned homes for a living and sent her extra earnings home to her mother in Greens Creek. Later, she began employment with Nabisco before becoming a stay at home mom when her sons were born.
In March 1958, Leona and Milton became parents when their son, Ronnie Ray, was born. Then in October 1960, Dean Mark, their second son was born.
Leona was a proud grandmother to her five grandchildren, and took pleasure in watching their many sporting activities as well as their significant life events.
Leona herself was very active in her neighborhood civic club and neighborhood patrol. She enjoyed caring for her family, traveling, gardening, watching the Houston Astros, and spending time with family and friends.
Leona was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Theresia Lorenz and her loving and faithful husband of 63 years, Milton. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Alma Menzel and her husband Alfred; brothers, Erwin, Rudolf, Anton and Ewald Lorenz; and sister-in-law, Ruth Tschatschula and her husband, Clarence. She is survived by her children, Ronnie and his wife, Patty, and Dean and his wife, Lisa. Also surviving are grandchildren, Jessie and her husband, Drew Wilkerson, Bethany and her husband, Ryan Peters, Jeremy, Jake, and Maura Krakosky; sister and best friend, Burnies Richter and her husband, Lawrence; sisters-in-law, Adelia, Martha, Mildred, and Lucille Lorenz; sister-in-law, Marion Hempel and her husband, Harry; brother-in-law, Charles Krakosky and his wife, Shirley; numerous nieces and nephews, as well as extended family and friends.
Leona was a lifelong member of The Lutheran Church ''' Missouri Synod and a proud longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in downtown Houston.
Visitation with the family will be held at Heights Funeral Home, 1317 Heights Blvd. Houston, TX on March 31, 2015 from 5 ''' 8 pm. A funeral service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 800 Houston Ave. Houston, TX on April 1, 2015 at 10:30 am. Interment will be at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
